What is body contouring?

Body contouring, also known as body sculpting, refers to changing the shape of an area on your body and is used to describe a variety of effects such as:

  • Changing the circumference of an area on your body like your stomach or thighs.

  • Changing your body’s silhouette by reducing small areas of fat.

  • Improving tone and firmness of certain muscles.

  • Improving the appearance of cellulite

Who is this treatments for?

People who have stubborn areas of fat or loose skin that diet and/or exercise doesn’t shift. People who want to sculpt and tone their bodies. Help support a healthy body already with a few tweaks.

This is not a weight loss programme, you do not lose weight you lose fat

How does it work?

Using ultrasound we blast the fat cells

Using rf (radio frequency) and vacuum we tighten & lift the skin

Using laser lipo we help shrink the fat cells

Using EMS (electronic muscle stimulation) we can help tone the muscles

Ultrasound cavitation

Also known as Ultrasound Liposuction and Ultra Cavitation is a non-surgical non-invasive fat removal procedure. Unlike a traditional tummy tuck or liposuction, in ultrasonic cavitation there are no knives, no anaesthesia and no surgery.

Ultrasound Technology which destroys intractable fat cells, using low frequency sound waves without causing damage to any other tissues or organs. Once the fat cell membrane (adipose tissue) is destroyed, the fat is discharged between the cells where they are turned into protein and then changed to free fatty acids and glycerol. Free fatty acids are moved through the lymphatic system to the liver where they decay and are removed from the body.

Radio frequency

Radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening offers a nonsurgical, noninvasive way to tighten skin. No cuts, incisions or injections are necessary for RF skin tightening. Using energy waves that heat the deep layer of the skin, RF tightening helps to stimulate collagen production. This is important because collagen is the building block of the body’s tissue. As we age, collagen production slows down. Many people who try to maintain fitness beyond their 20s and 30s find that their skin doesn’t necessarily “bounce back into to shape” with diet and exercise the way it did in their younger years.

Laser Lipo

Laser lipolysis is a safe in-office cosmetic procedure that uses laser energy to heat and remove fat cells. It’s ideal for shrinking various areas of the body. Laser lipolysis is noninvasive. Recovery is quick and the risks are minimal.

EMS

EMS is a treatment that puts out a small electrical charge into the body. When it goes into the body, it causes the muscles to contract and stimulates the nerves. It also creates a bit more heat deeper in the body, which can help with destroying fat cells and creating more collagen. EMS has been used for years in the fitness and sports communities for pain management and toning muscles.

Areas to treat

  • Abdomen/stomach

  • Thighs

  • Buttocks

  • Hips

  • Upper arms

  • Jowls on the lower half of the face (RF only)

  • Jawline (RF only)

  • Neck (RF only)

  • Puffy or drooping under-eye bags (RF only)

  • Droopy eyelids (RF only)

  • Hips

  • Face all over for wrinkle reduction (RF only)

Can I combine RF with Fat Cavitation?

Fat Cavitation and RF Skin Tightening work excellent as hand in hand treatments to reduce fat and tighten loosened skin as a result of fat loss, they also work just as effective as stand-alone services. For example, if you wanted to tighten and firm loose skin on the neck area you may only require RF Skin Tightening treatment. Your individual concerns and needs will be discussed during the pre-treatment consultation process.

Does it hurt?

No. Most people find the treatment to be very comfortable and trouble-free. Some clients experience warmth during the treatment and a small amount of noise discomfort, but there is no pain.

Is it safe?

Yes!

Side effects

Redness, tingling, skin sensitivity, mild bruising, headache, increased thirst, increased bowel movements, swelling, may cause pigmentation (darker skin tones) increased body temperature, mild aches and pains

How long is the treatment?

This depends on what option we decide on tailored to you. Usually forty five minutes to an two hours depending on areas.

Treating multiple areas is not advisable as the body has to work hard to remove the excess fat that is now passing through the Lymphatic system to the liver. Follow the rule, one area, one treatment every 72 hours and you will see result.

We can treat the face with RF and one body area at a time per treatment.

When will you see results?

Patients can expect to see a reduction of a few cm in circumference after the first treatment following Cavitation. The process of fat removal continues for up to 7 days after each treatment so it isn’t unusual to see a further decrease a day or two after your initial treatment.

Following RF some results will be seen immediately post treatment however the subsequent repair and remodelling of this deep collagen produces continuing effects over the next 2-4 months.

What if I don’t see results straight away?

It is important to remember that everyone is different and your body will work according to your unique metabolism. You will see reduction during a course of treatments which is why we recommend a course of treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Fat cavitation the number of sessions depends on a patient’s age and skin condition. While you will see results in the first session, it maybe necessary to have between 6 and 10 sessions for optimum results depending on the area.

Patients who go through a series of treatments will see an improvement each time the treatment is performed.

RF some effects are seen in the the first few weeks but it is best to do a series of treatment for the best results, recommend 4-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

How long do the effects last?

Fat cavitation is permanent. Maintaining a health lifestyle will help so you don’t replace the fat we have destroyed.

RF results last up to a year as the body is constantly destroying and making new collagen. Effects can last longer with appropriate skin care, keeping the skin hydrated and protection from the sun.
